The past 4 days have been a whirlwind. On Saturday we started moving into our new home and on our 3rd night we were evacuated due to nearby wild fires. We left the house in a hurry and mess, grabbing as many family photos and important documents as we could. It was difficult because EVERYTHING is still in boxes. We knew fire danger would be an issue in this new neighborhood but we didn’t expect to face mandatory evacuation orders after only 3 days in.
We are currently staying at my parents house and it’s working out well since they are back in Colorado for a couple weeks. I am grateful to have their home to stay in and that the kids are able to keep up with their distance learning school routine.
The shop at Pomona Antique Mart is open as usual and so is my online shop. That said, online orders will probably take a couple extra days to ship since we still don’t know when we’ll be back home, where I store all my online shop inventory.
Since I’m stuck not being able to do much shop work, I though today it would be fun to share some photos from our recent family photo shoot. We had these photos taken in my hometown of Silverton, on our trip to Colorado last month. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and finally decided to pull the plug on it. I hired Aspen from Aspen Photography and we absolutely love the way our photos turned out!
